The latest StatsCan export data for November showed 35,400 tonnes of flax had been exported, well below last year and the average pace. Exports early in 2016/17 were strong but have faded, but the year-to-date pace is now slipping. A bump in volumes is expected when the December data is released, due to larger shipments to the EU and US.
